- Oversee the development and implementation of the manufacturing budget, including forecasting revenue, expenses, and cash flow. Conduct variance analysis to identify and address financial performance deviations.
- Lead efforts to optimize manufacturing costs across the entire production process. This could involve implementing cost-saving measures, negotiating with vendors, and identifying areas for efficiency improvement.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow) according to IFRS standards.
- Partner with the Commercial Department to prepare compelling financial models and business cases for bids and proposals.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in banking institutions and government agencies.
- Manage all cash management functions including cash concentration and account funding, and ensure adequate liquidity for working capital needs and invest short term excess cash.
- Direct the planning, execution and reporting of year end audit.
- Serve as the principal contact with the external auditors, and ensure that they are provided close cooperation and assistance.
- Evaluate the financial feasibility of new manufacturing projects and initiatives. This may involve capital expenditure analysis, return on investment (ROI) calculations, and risk assessments.
- Implement strategies to optimize working capital by managing inventory levels, receivables, and payables. Ensure sufficient liquidity to support ongoing manufacturing operations.
- Partner with senior leadership across the manufacturing organization to provide financial insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making and business growth objectives.
- Manage a team and be actively involved in fostering the development of the team-members.
- CA, CPA or ACCA qualification is a must (no other qualification would be considered at this stage)
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in the finance function, with a recent and concrete experience in the manufacturing industry (minimum 4 years)
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics. SAP 4HANA is a plus.
- Strong experience of IFRS reporting principles
- A hands-on experience, or a relevant exposure to, VAT and/or corporate tax
- Well versed in end-to-end budgeting and forecasting processes
- BIG4 background is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in people management or leadership position is a must.
- Willingness to relocate to Al Ain
