The Production Assistant works closely with production and food safety teams to support processing activities, maintain clean and safe work areas, and ensure products meet quality and safety standards. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to SOPs, and the ability to perform physical tasks in a production environment.Key Responsibilities
- Assist with production line activities in food manufacturing facilities
- Maintain a clean workstation and production floor at all times
- Sweep, mop, and remove debris to ensure hygiene and safety standards
- Load and unload items from machines and production equipment
- Feed or place items onto equipment for processing as instructed
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements
- Identify and remove damaged or non-conforming products from the production line
- Scrape and dispose of waste material from machines in line with waste destruction SOPs
- Support production teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Previous experience in food production or factory operations is an advantage
- Awareness of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures accurately
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
- Willingness to work shifts as required
