- Lead product management for blockchain-related products (Fintech, crypto, payments, and Defi) from project inception to achieving product-market-fit and subsequent sales.
- Cultivate relationships with potential customers and partners, crafting products that align with customer needs, and collaborating with the product development team to optimize offerings.
- Analyse customer segments, needs, and competitive landscapes to define product positioning and effectively communicate it to potential customers.
- Strategize, execute, and assess test marketing programs to validate product-market-fit.
- Develop an optimal business model for the product, including cost structure assumptions, profitability settings, and pricing strategies.
- Stay abreast of market and competitive dynamics, establish product growth hypotheses, and iteratively enhance product offerings.
- Drive customer acquisition through personal sales efforts.
- Lead product marketing initiatives to enhance product visibility and attract potential customers through channels such as press releases, events, and webinars.
- Attain long-term sales objectives for the products.
- Minimum 3 years of product management experience in IT-related start-ups, overseeing entire product lifecycle.
- Deep knowledge of software and technology, ideally within FINTECH or blockchain industries.
- Proven experience guiding products from planning to commercialization by understanding customer needs and collaborating with development teams.
- Ability and willingness to acquire new customers through personal sales efforts.
- Basic-level proficiency in analysing and managing products/businesses from a financial perspective.
- Exceptional oral and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across various stakeholders while demonstrating independent thinking.
- Experience in establishing new business relationships and clientele in emerging markets, with a preference for Africa, and solid knowledge of such markets.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity.
- Deep interest in blockchain technology.
- Hands-on experience in B2B sales and product marketing.
- Native-level proficiency in English.
