- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose a wide range of ocular conditions
- Perform advanced ophthalmic surgeries, including cataract, glaucoma, corneal, and retinal procedures (depending on subspecialty)
- Manage acute and chronic eye diseases using evidence‑based treatment plans
- Interpret diagnostic imaging such as OCT, fundus photography, visual fields, and ocular ultrasound
- Provide pre‑operative and post‑operative care to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Collaborate with optometrists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated patient care
- Educate patients on eye health, treatment options, and preventive measures
- Maintain accurate and compliant medical records in accordance with Qatari healthcare regulations
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical audits
- Contribute to the training and mentorship of junior doctors, residents, and allied health professionals
- Stay updated with advancements in ophthalmology and incorporate new techniques into practice
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution
- Board certification in Ophthalmology
- Minimum 5 years of post‑qualification experience
- Proficiency in ophthalmic surgeries relevant to the candidate’s subspecialty
- Strong communication skills with fluency in Arabic (required)
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast‑paced clinical environment
- Must hold or be eligible for Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) licensing
