Formwork and Shoring Design Engineer - Azizi Developments - Dubai, UAE

• Prepare formwork, scaffolding, and shoring design solutions for building and infrastructure projects
• Develop general arrangement drawings, assembly drawings, basic steel fabrication drawings, and 2D and 3D models
• Carry out independent design calculations using standard data sheets, design tables, spreadsheets, in-house tools, and structural analysis software
• Apply proprietary formwork systems such as PERI, Doka, or similar solutions where applicable
• Prepare accurate material take-offs and material lists to support project execution
• Maintain proper engineering documentation, drawing registers, and design records
• Coordinate closely with team leaders, senior engineers, and the wider design team to meet project timelines
• Participate in project coordination meetings and provide technical input as required
• Provide technical support to site teams during construction and erection stages
• Liaise with suppliers and fabricators to obtain technical information and system details
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable British and European standards, codes of practice, and company procedures
• Follow company quality management systems, document control processes, and checking procedures
• Apply safe design principles in all engineering outputs and address review comments promptly
• Participate in training, CPD activities, and supplier-led product training sessions
• Develop technical knowledge of formwork, shoring, and scaffolding systems and construction sequencing
• Carry out site visits when required to gain practical construction and erection experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience in formwork, shoring, or temporary works design within construction or infrastructure projects
• Ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings accurately
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, structural analysis software, and engineering design tools
• Familiarity with proprietary formwork systems is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and documentation skills
• Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise through training and site exposure
