- Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation and government entities.
- Implement and maintain an appropriative OSHMS to ensure a high level of safety awareness and that safe system of work are being practice.
- Inspect premises to identify issues or non-conformity; on site and in factory; along with risk assessment.
- Manage oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
- Advice management on: Injury prevention method; Public safety; Legal requirements for safety; PPE requirements; Managing potential Hazards; Safe Working Method; Housekeeping issues; and First aid.
- Maintain documents, memos / circulars, all pertinent certificates of all employees and equipment/working structures, procedure documents/ project safety & environmental plan requirements.
- Coordinate with Dubai Civil Defense and Dubai municipality to review requirements / Drawings / any requirement needed for license renewals, releasing shipments.
- Conduct or direct required testing to verify compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
- Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle workers compensation claims.
- Monitor the site activities and make sure that these are executed as per the HSE plan and procedures.
- Conduct site safety orientations and trainings as required.
- Carry out onsite safety audits and inspection periodically and produces inspection report to project engineer, operations manager and client consultant.
- Prepare daily health and safety reports.
- Organize and maintain necessary project safety documentation to eliminate work-related accidents and used it to evaluate and identify the cause of the accident.
- Standardize health and safety in order to maintain consistency.
- Evaluate and monitor health and safety hazards and develop strategies to control risks in workplace
- Ensure that HSE policies and procedures are being followed and implemented.
- Maintain company's interest and objectives when dealing with third parties.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Safety or related field
- Certificates such as NEBOSH, IOSH, knowledge in Scaffolding erection, dismantling and inspection, First Aid, Fire Warden, Environmental training, Ergonomics, Rescue Training.
