A venture-backed AI technology company headquartered in Dubai is seeking its first Chief Marketing Officer to build the global marketing function from the ground up. The company has developed an artificial intelligence platform for commercial building management.With significant funding, and technology co-founders with heritage from internationally recognised ventures, the company is scaling from 30 to 100+ employees across multiple international markets. Named clients include global real estate operators, international hotel groups, theme parks, and large-scale retail portfolios.This is a rare opportunity to join a well-capitalised startup at an inflection point, with a clear path to market leadership in the AI-driven building automation and energy management sector.Why This Role

- Global expansion: Year 1 markets include UAE, Singapore, Turkey, Spain, and the UK, scaling to 25+ countries by 2028
Marketing Strategy & Brand Building
- Define and execute the global marketing strategy aligned with commercial revenue targets of $30M+ ARR
- Build the company brand from early-stage to category leader in AI building management and energy optimisation
- Develop compelling positioning that differentiates physics-first AI from traditional BMS and deep-learning competitors
- Own thought leadership, PR, analyst relations, and executive communications
- Build a product-led growth engine targeting commercial real estate operators, facility managers, and property portfolios
- Design and scale multi-channel campaigns across digital, events, partnerships, and account-based marketing
- Establish marketing-sourced pipeline targets and attribution models tied to enterprise sales cycles
- Create localised go-to-market playbooks for each target geography (Middle East, APAC, Europe)
- Bring a core team of 3-5 senior marketing professionals to accelerate the build
- Scale the marketing function to 15+ across brand, content, digital, events, and marketing operations
- Recruit and develop high-performing talent across multiple international markets
- Establish marketing technology stack, analytics, and reporting frameworks from scratch
- Develop co-marketing and channel partnerships with building technology OEMs, system integrators, and consultancies
- Support investor relations through compelling growth narratives, case studies, and market positioning
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and with key enterprise accounts
- 15+ years of progressive marketing leadership, with at least 5 years in a VP Marketing or CMO capacity
- Proven track record in B2B technology marketing, ideally within IoT, AI/ML, smart buildings, energy tech, or industrial automation
- Experience scaling marketing at a venture-backed or growth-stage technology company ($20M-$200M revenue range)
- Demonstrated ability to build marketing teams from scratch or near-scratch in a high-growth environment
- Strong understanding of enterprise sales cycles, ABM strategies, and B2B2B go-to-market models
- International marketing experience across at least 2 of: Middle East, Southeast Asia, Europe, or North America
- Direct experience in building management systems (BMS), HVAC, building automation, or PropTech sectors
- Familiarity with AI product marketing and communicating complex technology to non-technical buyers
- Experience with profit-sharing or outcome-based commercial models (not just SaaS subscription)
- Previous experience in the GCC / Middle East market
- MBA or advanced degree in marketing, business, or a technical discipline
This is a C-Suite appointment with a competitive base salary, performance bonus, and equity participation (ESOP). The package is designed to attract world-class marketing talent and will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and the seniority of the appointment.Additional benefits include relocation support to Dubai, UAE, where the role is based. The position is tax-free under UAE law.
