The Consultant Gastroenterologist - Advanced Endoscopy Specialist role in Dubai UAE focuses on diagnosing and managing complex gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders. This role offers the opportunity to perform advanced endoscopic procedures while contributing to high standards of clinical care in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.Core Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and polypectomy
- Interpret imaging, laboratory results, and endoscopic findings to develop evidence-based treatment plans
- Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology consultations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, and dietitians
- Participate in on-call duties as required
- Educate patients on disease prevention, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain accurate and compliant medical records
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, audits, and patient safety programs
- Mentor junior doctors, residents, and allied healthcare staff
- Medical degree MD or equivalent from a recognized institution
- Board certification in Gastroenterology
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in gastroenterology and endoscopy
- Strong expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a multicultural and fast-paced healthcare environment
