- As an integral member of the HSEQ team, this position will take a leadership role in working with all company departments in relation to QA/QC, HSE, Operations and Inventory control.
- Quality Management System (QMS) – learning / training within the entity QMS to obtain an understanding of the QMS and how it relates to all aspects of the company, vendors, and customer.
- NCR and other Quality Control Processes – Assist / Train in creation, investigate, track, and close NCR’s, quality investigations (QIs) and CIO’s and assist with ensuring payment if applicable. NCR, QI and CIO information will be analyzed by the Quality department to derive relevant key performance indicators (KPI).
- Product Knowledge and Quality Training – training staff on products and specifications related to OCTG, API specifications and proprietary connections/grades, best practices, and job knowledge, etc.
- Internal Audits – learning and assisting in the internal audit program for all entity facilities to ensure compliance to regulations, policies and standards as laid out in the QMS and via customer and industry requirements.
- External Audits – Responsible for assisting the QA/QC Manager in coordination of external audits. As well as responsible to assist in internal preparation for all external audits.
- Vendors – responsible for visiting vendor locations to observe work being conducted based on entity PO’s and monitor employees and contractors to ensure compliance to Regulations, Policies and Standards contained in the PO., QSP’s vendor audits as required.
- Customer – When required, interface with ADNOC (potentially other customers to assist in meeting their expectations and/or providing training to customer to assist in the provision of products and services.
- KPI’s – Responsible for monitoring and reporting on all relevant contract quality KPI’s both to and from ADNOC.
- A minimum of 4 - 8 years of progressive experience in the areas of quality control in the oil and gas industry related to quality management systems.
- Field experience in the installation, running and/or inspection of OCTG would be an asset.
- Manufacturing experience (OCTG manufacturing) would be an asset.
- Engineering degree will be preferred
- Internal / External ISO Audit training / experience would be an asset.
- Completion of a recognized Certification in NDT (ASNT) would be an asset.
- Proven ability to provide leadership and a strong commitment to educating internal key stakeholders on Quality Control issues and compliance.
- Knowledge and understanding of related standards and regulations at the industry and government level: API 5CT, API 5C1, API RP 5A5, API 5B1, EMQSP etc.
- Strong interpersonal and team building skills, with a proven ability to work with diverse groups of people to focus their efforts on a common goal.
- Self-managed and strong motivation to improve business transactions and maintain compliance.
- Good communication skills; written, verbal and presentation.
- Working ability with Microsoft applications specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, Navision and quality programs.
