Job PurposeProvide technical advice and support to on-shore and offshore rig maintenance personnel. Assist and coordinate
the support of maintenance budgeting, control and scheduling activities. Follow up on equipment performance
and equipment history as requested.Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)Job Specific Accountabilities
  • Provides technical direction as required to electrical maintenance and installation personnel on
Onshore, Offshore rigs and other locations to ensure adherence to schedules/correct work procedures
and that desired design standards are followed. Reviews procedures and their acceptability (having
regard for their workability) and periodically review such procedures. Submits action for
upgrade/removal of the same after obtaining prior approval.
  • Visits Offshore and Onshore rigs to review and assist in ongoing installation and repair work and to
participate in, and direct, major and/or complex installation or repair activities. Prepares and submits
reports on rig visits to immediate supervisor as and when required indicating where non-compliance
with maintenance or installation procedures has occurred.
  • Conducts research and studies special technical problems related to installation, maintenance and
repair of equipment and plant as required. Prepares related technical reports and advises the
immediate supervisor of his findings in order that meaningful decisions can be made in respect of
maintenance.Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 2)
  • Monitors maintenance and installation procedures through close liaison with site electrical personnel.
Assists in the preparation of monthly preventive maintenance plans reviewing and recommending
changes to such plans in light of operational requirements and changing priorities.
  • Visits contractor workshops as required to inspect and ensure that contracted maintenance and repair
work is carried out in accordance with required specifications and provides technical advice as required.
  • Liaises with colleagues and site maintenance personnel on technical aspects relating to the
specifications of new machinery to be ordered, or the modification of present equipment, and makes
recommendations accordingly.
  • Monitors levels of spares required to be maintained in store, having regard for the critical nature of the
equipment being maintained and recommends increases or decreases to the level of spares where
appropriate.Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 3)
  • Carries out other similar or related duties such as submitting periodic or special reports as requested,
identifying and organizing specialized training requirements, e.g. in the particular use of certain vendors'
tools or equipment, and making recommendations to improve maintenance and repair services in
conjunction with Overhaul Team and the like.
  • Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of
practice.Generic Accountabilities (continue)Minimum QualificationB.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
  • 6 years' broad maintenance experience, including several years of operational responsibility in the
