Job PurposeTo lead and oversee the organization's IT infrastructure, cloud services, and operations, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and alignment with business goals. This role drives the design, development, and maintenance of critical IT components-including servers, storage, and cloud environments-while fostering continuous improvement. Responsible for developing IT policies, ensuring compliance, managing budgets, and leading a high-performing IT team. Acts as a strategic partner to internal stakeholders and external vendors, contributing to enterprise-wide IT strategy and delivering measurable business value through optimized infrastructure and cloud capabilities.Key Activities, Responsibility & AccountabilityStrategic Planning
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Leads strategic planning for Infrastructure and Cloud, integrating on-premises, hybrid, and Cloud solutions to support business goals, scalability, and performance.
  • Develops and presents reports, insights, and performance metrics to guide Infrastructure and Cloud strategy, cost optimization, and investment decisions.
  • Aligns stakeholders with strategy, timelines, and change plans, ensuring shared understanding and coordination across all IT environments.
  • Defines and enforces strategic policies, standards, and governance frameworks covering Infrastructure, Cloud, and hybrid models, ensuring compliance and consistency.
  • Partners with IT leadership to shape the Infrastructure and Cloud service portfolio, prioritize resources, manage budgets, and reduce technical debt.
  • Manages annual Infrastructure and Cloud budgets, aligning financial planning with strategic objectives and driving ongoing cost efficiency.
Continuity Management
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Manages the development, implementation and testing of continuity management plans.
  • Manages the relationship with individuals and teams who have authority for critical business processes and supporting systems.
  • Evaluates the critical risks and identifies priority areas for improvement.
Information Assurance
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Contributes to the development of organizational strategies that address the evolving business risk and information control requirements.
Governance
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Establishes and oversees governance frameworks for Infrastructure and Cloud, ensuring they are tailored to domain-specific risks, regulatory demands, and business objectives.
  • Defines and communicates governance requirements, delegated authorities, and risk frameworks aligned with enterprise ethics, values, and compliance standards.
Quality Management
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Achieves and maintains compliance against national and international standards, as appropriate.
  • Prioritizes areas for quality improvement by considering strategy, business objectives and results from internal and external audits. Initiates the application of appropriate quality management techniques in these areas
Technology Service Management
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Identifies and manages resources needed for budgeting, estimating, planning, developing and delivering a specified portfolio of technology services and systems.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities (contd.)Professional Certifications
  • Professional certifications in IT infrastructure and operations such as ITIL, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) are desirable.
  • Certified Professional in IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL v3).
  • Certifications in project management, DevOps, or other relevant areas may also be preferred.
  • AZ-305 Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions
  • Lead Auditor in Information Security Management Systems ISO/IEC 27001
  • Lead Auditor in Information Technology Service Management ISO/IEC 2000
  • Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) .
  • AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals
  • ITIL V4 Advanced.
QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience6 years of relevant experience.
