Senior Heavy Mechanic - Dairy Farm

• Manage and perform maintenance and repair on heavy machinery and vehicles specific to dairy farm operations.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
• Oversee workshop operations, including scheduling tasks and supervising junior mechanics.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Coordinate with farm management to optimize machinery availability and minimize downtime.
• Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Train and mentor junior mechanics and workshop staff.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance procedures and safety standards.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a heavy mechanic, preferably within agricultural or dairy farm environments.
• Strong knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
