- Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including EAL, gifted, and students requiring additional support.
- Integrate technology and innovative approaches to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Assess, record, and communicate student progress effectively, using data to inform teaching and personalised support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and refine IB-aligned curriculum plans, resources, and assessments.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities, events, and community initiatives.
- Build positive relationships with parents and the wider school community to support student growth and wellbeing.
- Engage in ongoing professional learning and reflection to continuously enhance teaching practice.
- Uphold the GEMS values and the IB Learner Profile in all aspects of school life.
- A certified professional teaching qualification at degree level, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent in Science specialism.
- A minimum of 3 years of solid and demonstrable experience teaching Secondary Science, ideally within an IB Curriculum School (preferred but not essential).
- Experience teaching MYP & DP is preferred but not essential.
- A passion for inspiring young learners through innovative and inquiry based teaching.
