This Consultant Hepatobiliary Surgeon role focuses on performing complex procedures, managing critical cases, and contributing to high-quality patient outcomes within a multidisciplinary clinical setting.Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced surgical procedures for liver and hepatobiliary conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Manage complex cases involving liver diseases and biliary disorders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including gastroenterologists, oncologists, and radiologists
- Provide on-call support for emergency surgical cases
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in hepatobiliary and liver surgery
- Mentor and train junior surgeons, medical students, and healthcare staff
- Ensure adherence to clinical standards, safety protocols, and best practices
- Medical degree from a recognized institution
- UK CCT or American Board certification in Liver or Hepatobiliary Surgery
- Minimum 5 years of experience at consultant level
- Strong expertise in complex liver and hepatobiliary surgical procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Fluent in English, additional languages are an advantage
