- The role involves close collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely renewal of entity tax certificates.
- Responsibilities encompass facilitating withholding tax certificate acquisition from clients, recovering withheld funds, and supporting vendors in obtaining necessary certificates.
- The position also involves participation in tax audit processes, responding to inquiries, ensuring compliance in vendor payments, and maintaining accurate tax General Ledger (GL) accounts.
- The Tax Specialist contributes to maintaining an audit-ready state, supports tax implementation projects, collaborates on Global Mobility tax matters, and stays informed on tax developments.
- Additional duties include assisting in Economic Substance returns filing, supporting the wider tax team with ad hoc tasks, and occasionally serving as a backup for peers.
- A university degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Tax and Accounting.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA/CPA/CA or equivalent is essential.
- Experience in a Big 4 environment is preferred.
- Proven experience in the tax function within the Middle East, particularly for a large multinational corporation group.
