Quantity Surveyor - RAK Properties PJSC

• Collaborate with the Manager-QS and assist in reviewing Engineer’s estimates, cash flow estimates, and revised estimates during project execution.
• Support in reviewing tender and contract documents as directed.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to gather data for progress evaluation.
• Verify the Engineer's recommendation of payment certificate for the Contractor’s monthly progress and coordinate and resolve with the Engineer for any discrepancies found in the certificate.
• Have a complete understanding of the Company’s change management procedure and provide support in the review of change proposals and variation orders submitted by the Engineer/Contractors.
• Prepare internal payment certificates for management approval after ensuring all the backup documents are included in the recommendation.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations on cost-saving measures.
• Monitor project costs and identify potential cost overruns.
• Review and approve consultants/contractors’ payments and variations.
• Maintain accurate records of all project costs and variations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Communicate with project team members, clients, and stakeholders to resolve any cost-related issues.
• Provide regular reports on project costs and progress to senior management.

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
• Proficient in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of local laws and regulations related to construction projects is preferred.
