- The Customer Service Associate plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to customers. They are responsible for maintaining store standards, managing inventory, and assisting with sales. Their duties include handling customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring the store is well-stocked and visually appealing, and operating the cash register according to company policies. Success in this role is defined by the ability to create a welcoming shopping environment, effectively manage customer relationships, and contribute to sales growth through knowledgeable service and product recommendations.
- Engage with customers to provide a high level of service and assist with their needs.
- Address basic customer complaints and escalate issues as needed to the Duty Manager.
- Ensure that the store is well-organized and adheres to company visual merchandising standards.
- Regularly clean and maintain the sales floor to create an inviting shopping environment.
- Actively participate in receiving new shipments and restocking the store.
- Help manage inventory and ensure the store is fully stocked.
- Recommend products to customers based on their needs, focusing on upselling and cross-selling.
- Stay updated on product information to make informed recommendations.
- Operate the cash register, process transactions, and follow company policies for handling payments.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer-facing roles, with a focus on providing excellent service.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and interpersonal skills to effectively engage customers.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high store standards in organization and cleanliness.
- Sales Skills: Competency in recommending products and actively engaging in upselling and cross-selling.
- Previous experience in customer-facing roles with a focus on providing excellent service.
