Job DescriptionTo direct and manage the partnership with various business verticals to understand the requirements for learning and performance programmes, agreeing and directing the action/development plan for the assessment, design, delivery, implementation and evaluation of learning and development interventions/programmes aligned to business objectives to ensure learning objectives are met and desired return on investment achievedCollaborate with the business to identify and analyse learning and development needs aligned to business objectives and the Bank’s strategy, creating and implementing an action/development plan in order to agree appropriate development plans/solutions and expected/required outcomes * Direct the design and delivery of learning and development solutions using a range of practical and appropriate learning methods to ensure business needs are met to the required standards and in the most cost-effective manner
  • Manage the evaluation and learning and development reports, reviewing and reporting on results, identifying trends, approving corrective action taken to ensure the learning and development provided continues to meet the identified needs
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders on current and emerging learning and development needs within their business area to ensure the required learning and development solutions are implemented to the required standard
  • Manage relationships with external vendors/consultants in order to meet Bank-wide development requirements whilst ensuring the Bank’s standards are consistently met and adhered to
Manage self and team in line with ADCB’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own and employee contribution to business performance * Organise and supervise the activities and work of the team to ensure that targets and objectives are achieved and the business plan is delivered in line with the required policies, processes, procedures and systems
  • Contribute to the preparation of the business area’s budget and manage and monitor the financial performance against the budget so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon
  • Implement approved departmental policies, processes and procedures, and ensure employee adherence so that work is carried out to the required standard while delivering the required standards of service to customers and stakeholders
  • Manage and motivate the team to ensure they contribute to, and participate in, the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programmes and projects in line with the Bank’s standards
  • Demonstrate ‘Our Promise’ and apply the ‘ADCB Service Standards’ to deliver the Bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions
Skills
  • At least 7 years’ experience in a Learning and Development Function in the Banking/Financial Services industry
  • Professional qualification in learning and development from ATD (CPLP) or CIPD (CTP) or equivalent
  • Bachelors degree in relevant specialisation
Knowledge of adult learning and training evaluation models and methodologiesInstructional design and facilitation skills * Stakeholder and change management skills
