Job type: Full timeJob responsibilities
- Perform inspection, maintenance, and overhaul of marine diesel engines (e.g., Caterpillar, MAN, Cummins, MTU, Wartsila, Yanmar, MAK, Volvo Penta, etc.).
- Conduct diagnostic tests and troubleshooting on mechanical and electronic engine systems.
- Overhaul and repair turbochargers, fuel injection systems, cylinder heads, pistons, crankshafts, camshafts, and cooling systems.
- Carry out alignment and vibration checks on propulsion systems, gearboxes, and shaft lines.
- Maintain and repair auxiliary equipment such as pumps, compressors, generators, and hydraulic systems.
- Interpret technical drawings, manuals, and service bulletins.
- Prepare inspection and service reports, including measurements, findings, and repair recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with class society, flag state, and safety regulations (ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s Register, BV, etc.).
- Coordinate with supervisors, planners, and QA/QC personnel for work scheduling and completion.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in accordance with company HSE policies.
- Diploma or Bachelor Certificate in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Certified or trained by OEMs such as Caterpillar, Cummins, Wartsila, MAN, or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on experience in marine diesel engine repair and overhaul.
- Proven experience in shipyards, offshore vessels, or marine service workshops.
- Age: 25 years and above.
- Strong understanding of marine propulsion systems and auxiliary machinery.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, quality control, and documentation standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
