JOB PURPOSE:The Associate Electrical Engineer is responsible to provide support in the engineering of substation equipment / site installation & testing activities on large-scale transmission and distribution projects.This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience and contribute to high-impact projects focused on grid modernization and smart grid technologies.DIMENSIONS:External Interfaces:

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Technical Support:
  • Assist in the engineering of substation equipment / Supervision of LV Cable laying, termination, panel installation and testing activities.
  • Support Senior Engineers in developing single-line diagrams, layouts, LV Cable sizing calculations, Load Lists, Cable Schedules and compiling of Construction drawings and other handing over documentations.
Project Execution:
  • Assist in project coordination of tasks for ongoing T&D projects.
  • Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning of T&D equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with national and international standards, including safety, client’s specifications and regulatory guidelines.
Field Work:
  • Conduct site visits for new tenders, work inspections, data collection, and engineering support for site activities.
  • Support in the preparation of reports based on field findings and communicate with project teams for follow-up actions.
  • Assist testing and commissioning engineers.
  • Manage the delivery, storage and usage of electrical material and equipment’s on-site.
  • Co-ordinate with the erection manpower for LV cable laying, termination and testing activities.
  • Supervise the installation work and ensure that all work carried out according to the design specification and standards.
  • Co-ordination all the site activities with the supervisors, foreman and the technician team.
Collaboration & Communication:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including civil, and mechanical, to ensure integrated solutions.
  • Communicate technical findings and project updates to senior engineers and stakeholders through reports and presentations.
Reporting:
  • Undertake additional tasks or responsibilities as may be reasonably requested by the Engineering Manager, within the scope of works.
