- Proactively identify, qualify, and secure new MICE business opportunities for the hotel.
- Develop and nurture relationships with corporate clients, event agencies, destination management companies (DMCs), and professional conference organizers (PCOs).
- Conduct regular client meetings, sales calls, hotel site inspections, and presentations to promote the hotel’s MICE facilities and services.
- Represent the hotel at MICE-related trade shows, networking functions, industry events, and roadshows, both locally and internationally.
- Prepare and negotiate tailored proposals and contracts in alignment with client needs and hotel profitability goals.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments such as Events, Revenue, and Operations to ensure seamless execution of conferences, meetings, and group stays.
- Provide expert advice and bespoke service to clients throughout the planning and execution stages to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and repeat business.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging client needs to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Work with the Revenue Management team to implement optimal group pricing, forecasting, and yield strategies specific to the MICE market.
- Consistently meet or exceed personal and departmental sales targets and KPIs.
- Maintain accurate records, client profiles, and reports through the hotel’s CRM system.
- Prepare regular sales performance reports and contribute insights for strategic planning.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales within a luxury hotel, resort, or destination management company, with a strong specialization in the MICE segment.
- Proven track record of securing and managing high-value MICE accounts, consistently achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
- Deep understanding of the MICE industry landscape, including relationships with corporate clients, professional conference organizers, incentive houses, and destination management companies, both locally and internationally.
- Strong commercial awareness and strategic insight into market trends, event cycles, and competitor activity within the luxury meetings and events space.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex group bookings and events from acquisition to execution, ensuring seamless coordination and client satisfaction.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple large-scale events and client relationships simultaneously.
- Creative mindset with the ability to tailor proposals and event solutions to meet unique client needs while maximizing profitability.
- Formal education or professional certifications in Sales, Hospitality Management, or Event Planning are advantageous.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a firm understanding of luxury service standards and pricing strategies.
