Job DescriptionProvide day-to-day support, maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting databases, in line with the department’s standards.To set up, maintain and administration of databases (Microsoft SQL server, Oracle & etc.)To ensure & enhance availability of databases & services as per SLA.To implement high availability solutions across to achieve very minimal downtime.Database upgrades and migrations to incorporate latest technology in the environment.Database server’s security auditing and mentoring at the DB level. Assisting GIS in Database Security challenges and solutions.Framing database design model for various applications. Database physical design, development and programmingAnalyzing and improving database performance.Enhance, improve and implement Disaster Recovery solutions for the banking environment.SSIS configurations and maintenance.Capacity planning, especially the ability to aggregate day-to-day challenges into bigger capacity planning effort.Daily monitoring database jobs, backups. Application related scheduled jobs & activities monitoring and Application dependent data processing.To provide supporting role by fixing or resolving known issues, performing database monitoring and taking corrective actions, service management and adhoc support as per documentation.Support for new ongoing project development, testing and deployment.All the above accountabilities include but not limited to any additional/new tasks or responsibilities assigned by the line Manager.Competencies/SkillsEducationMinimum Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalentWork ExperienceMinimum 3-4 Years of Experience in Database Administration
