Job Title: Radio / Telecom Technician – UAE National

Industry: Telecommunications

Job Brief:

Works alone or under supervision as part of the team to perform standard reactive and routine maintenance tasks. Will provide L1-L4 maintenance and repair of telecommunications equipment & assist in the development and training of staff within the battalions for level 1 to 4 maintenance & repair requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and resolve faults on all radio equipment, including vehicle mounted radio equipment and associated components.
  • Configuration and testing of radio equipment in the workshop.
  • Perform routine maintenance on clients' radio equipment and associated components within the workshop and field environments.
  • Takes responsibility for completing work on time and in line with organization's QHSE standards.
  • Reporting progress and documenting all work activities as per defined processes.
  • Assist Engineer to rectify more in-depth faults.
  • Assist Engineer, or work alone, to perform vehicle installation work.
  • Is expected to work diligently at all times, does not cut corners, follows all reasonable instructions to the letter and escalates immediately when problems cannot be resolved without assistance from others.
  • Build-up and maintain personal competencies relevant to the clients' products, including familiarity with current and future hardware configurations, likely problems and their solutions.
  • Understands organizations' Service Level commitments and takes all reasonable measures to ensure that they are met.
  • Provide competence development/training and support to staff within the battalions as defined in the training plans.
Key Performance Indicators:
  • Meeting defined Support Service Levels
  • Follow defined processes and procedures
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Regular updating of trouble tickets
  • Meeting defined Support Service Levels
Job Requirements:
  • Age: Maximum 38 years old
  • Fresh Graduate can apply but must be graduate of Bachelor of Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • If experienced, need 3 years of relevant experience with any Bachelor's Degree.
  • Required – Diploma / Bachelor's Degree & not a High School Graduate.
Level 2 Technician:
  • Bachelors with good technical knowledge
  • Bachelor of Electronics and Telecommunications
Level 1 Technician:
  • 2 year experience / Freshers can apply as long as they are graduate of Electronics and Telecommunications
Other Requirements:
  • Has in reasonable product knowledge and takes the initiative for continual self-development.
  • Portrays a level of confidence when discussing technical matters with customers.
  • Takes ownership of customer reported issues and delivers according to agreed deadlines.
  • Understands own limitations and escalates to management when assistance is required.
  • Carry out ALL work in accordance with the Atlas/SOC QHSE policies/procedures.
  • Ability to formulate coherent technical reports.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
Salary: AED 25,000 – 32,000
