Perform enterprise-wide risk assessments for the purpose of developing comprehensive audit plans, and presenting audit results/MIS to the Board of Directors and CEO.
Assess and report on the reliability and integrity of accounting records and management reports.
Assess the reliability, integrity and security of business systems and applications.
Ensure the execution of a systematic, disciplined and balanced approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
Promote high levels of ethical awareness and facilitate investigations of potential ethical concerns/violations and/or conflicts of interest.
Ability to assess fraud risk across the various business entitles and departments, and to increase the awareness level of fraud within the organization
Ability to appreciate the operating requirements and standards of the business operations
Partner with senior management in developing strong, professional and independent relationships to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the business to enable value-added recommendations that improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
Manage special audit requirements upon request from CEO or Board of DirectorsMANAGERIAL
Strategic PlanningPrepare and communicate sectional objectives and plan inline with entity / department’s strategic objectives and operational plan
Manage the execution of sectional business objectives and plan
Propose KPI’s for the section and its employees and ensure they are inline with overall entity / department goals
Budget Management
Develop sectional budget and monitor budget spend
Provide guidance to direct line reports on budget optimization opportunities where applicable
Corporate Performance Management
Oversee the performance of the section inline with the sectional plan defined
Proactively communicate the annual objectives and KPIs to section's employees
Engage with entity/ department head to identify opportunities to improve section’s performance
People Management
Conduct performance management activities for section employees and provide constructive feedback
Responsible for identifying the training and development needs of all employees
Maintain constant availability of the required number of competent staff to support the department in meeting all its responsibilities, plans, and objectives
ORGANIZATIONALGovernanceEnsure adherence and execution of the policies, processes and guidelines, as defined
Participate and provide inputs in the periodic audit of the established policies and processes to ensure compliance
Management Reporting
Prepare periodic reports for the section and provide input to the entity’s / department’s periodic reports
Highlight any quality or non-compliance issues observed during the development of periodic reports
Implement remedial activities to manage any quality or non- compliance issues as directed by department head
Change Management
Own/drive change management activities in the section and ensure all stakeholder communications are as per the approved communication planEDUCATION
management role
EXPERIENCED
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field
Minimum 10 years of audit experience with at least 5 years of experience in a senior audit
