Dubai, UAE | Regulated FinTech |A UAE-regulated fintech payments company is seeking a hands-on and commercially astute Finance Director to lead its local finance function during a critical growth phase.
This role combines operational financial leadership with strategic fundraising and investor readiness responsibilities working closely with the Global CFO.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Control & Governance
- Lead month-end close, statutory reporting, and management accounts
- Ensure compliance with CBUAE, IFRS, VAT, ESR, AML, and audit requirements
- Act as primary finance contact for regulators and auditors
- Oversee treasury, liquidity, and internal controls
- Drive ERP (NetSuite preferred) optimisation
- Lead and develop the local finance team while remaining hands-on
- Support equity and debt fundraising initiatives
- Build financial models, valuations, and investor materials
- Participate in investor discussions and due diligence
- Contribute to capital allocation and strategic planning
- CA / ACCA / CPA or MBA (Finance)
- 12-15 years' experience, starting in Big 4 (audit/advisory/transactions)
- Fintech, payments, or regulated financial services exposure
- Strong knowledge of UAE regulatory frameworks
- Fundraising, M&A, or investor relations experience
- Ability to operate at both strategic and detailed execution levels
