As a Civil Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering projects by assisting with design, drafting, and field inspections.

Prepare and modify engineering drawings using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
Assist in the collection and analysis of field data for various civil engineering projects
Conduct site inspections and document findings to ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations
Create and maintain project documentation, including reports, charts, and maps
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to support project planning and execution
Utilize GIS software to create and update spatial data for project planning and analysis
Perform basic engineering calculations and quantity takeoffs
Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations

Qualifications

Associate's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
2-3 years of experience in civil engineering or a related field
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
Experience with GIS software and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong technical drawing and drafting skills
Ability to collect and analyze data efficiently and accurately
Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the UAE
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Relevant certifications (e.g., NICET, EIT) preferred
Willingness to work on construction sites and perform field inspections in various weather conditions
