- To participate in the design of the annual business plan, helping the Director of Sales & Marketing, with a previous research, investigation and analysis of the market trends of their sales area.
- Prepare the occupancy forecast in order to establish a correct price policy, adapted to the different potential customers (groups, key accounts, tour operators…), and with the approval of the General Manager.
- Provides marketing and sales information, statistics and reports for the DOSM.
- Attend successfully the key accounts and maintain permanent contact with them, detecting the potential customers and accounts within the market segmentation and customers' geographic origin.
- Organizes correctly and execute with success the visits to the clients, and review the visit reports for finally suggest corrective actions in order to achieve the goals.
- Assure, coordinate and follow up the presence of the hotel at the tourism fairs, expositions, conventions events, and promotional trips according to the program established in the Marketing Plan.
- Review and ensure that negotiations, contracts with the different companies and credits for clients are made according to the policies and established procedures that protect the interests of the hotel.
- Sales representative of ME Dubai Hotel to the defined local and international markets.
- Actively promoting the hotel through the participation in tourism industry events, official organisations, travel agencies, airlines, associations, etc.
- Serve as the contact or liaison between the accounts and the hotels, keeping accounts informed on any promotions, brochures, etc.
- Responsible for providing solutions to any needs the accounts might have of hotels.
- Coordinate and assist in fam trips and site inspections for customers to the hotel.
- Ensure availability of the promotional material required to assist in the development of sales functions such as brochures, fact sheets, presentations, etc.
- Update and maintain the customer database, inputting the information on each account and sales activity.
- Analyses business lost to competitors and the causes to minimise future losses.
- Knows the competition.
- Attends the sales meetings both company and at hotels level (conference calls).
- Maintains a professional image, both in regard to appearance and manner when dealing with customers or any other company that has a professional relationship with the hotel.
- To promote and contribute to a co-operative and harmonious working climate conductive to maximum team moral, and productivity and efficiency among all team members. Ensures that negotiations and contracts with companies are in line with the policies and procedures set by Meliá Hotels International.
- Very good knowledge of the corporate segment industry and processes within the assigned local and international markets.
- Knowledge of computer systems and sales techniques.
- Availability to travel within and abroad the country when required.
