Job Description:A leading government healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Consultant Pediatric Plastic Surgeon.The Consultant Pediatric Plastic Surgeon will provide specialized surgical care for infants, children, and adolescents requiring plastic and reconstructive procedures. The role focuses on congenital, acquired, and traumatic conditions in the pediatric population, in compliance with Abu Dhabi DOH PQR and hospital clinical governance standards.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical DutiesDeliver consultant-level care in pediatric plastic and reconstructive surgery.Perform a wide range of pediatric procedures including:Cleft lip and palate repairCongenital anomalies of the face, hands, and bodyPediatric burns and scar reconstructionSoft tissue reconstructionPediatric facial traumaConduct pre-operative assessments, operative management, and post-operative follow-up.Provide emergency and on-call surgical cover as per hospital rota.Multidisciplinary CollaborationWork closely with pediatricians, ENT, orthodontists, speech therapists, and other specialties.Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical case discussions.Academic & Governance ResponsibilitiesSupervise and mentor junior medical staff.Participate in teaching, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation.Adhere to DOH, and hospital policies and ethical standards.RequirementsQualifications & Experience (DOH PQR - Consultant Level)Mandatory QualificationsMBBS or equivalent medical degree.Recognized Specialty Qualification in Plastic Surgery, such as:American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS)UK CCT / CCSTCanadian or equivalent DOH-recognized qualificationIrish BoardAustralian BoardExperienceMinimum 3 years post-board / post-CCT experience as a Consultant ORMinimum 5 years post-specialty experience in a tertiary care setting.Demonstrated experience in pediatric plastic surgery.LicensingEligible for or holding a DOH Consultant License - Plastic Surgery.WORK LOCATION - ABU DHABI.To view other vacancies we have, please check our website ( ) and follow us on our social media accounts - / / /Disclaimer: Black Pearl will never ask for money or any form to charge our candidates just to process or consider their application for any of our available vacancies.
