The key objectives for this role are:The Tankage Construction Superintendent is responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of all tank construction activities on site, including atmospheric storage tanks, pressurized vessels, and associated civil, mechanical, and coating works. The role ensures full compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and international codes while driving productivity and schedule adherence.Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise all tankage construction activities, including:
  • Tank foundation and civil works
  • Bottom, shell, and roof erection (fixed and floating roof tanks)
  • Welding, NDT, and hydrotesting
  • Internal/external coating and lining
  • Tank appurtenances and fittings installation
  • Ensure compliance with:
  • ADNOC standards and HSE requirements
  • International codes such as API 650, API 620, and relevant ASME standards
  • Project specifications, drawings, and quality plans
  • Coordinate daily with EPCM team, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on:
  • Work fronts and priorities
  • Construction sequencing
  • Interface management with other disciplines (piping, structural, E&I)
  • Monitor construction progress against schedule and proactively mitigate delays
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure:
  • Work is executed as per approved method statements
  • Quality standards are maintained
  • Safety compliance is strictly enforced
  • Review and approve:
  • Method statements and ITPs
  • Work permits and risk assessments
  • Inspection and test records
  • Manage subcontractors and workforce productivity, ensuring optimal resource utilization
  • Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and incident investigations where required
  • Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including:
  • Tank cleaning, calibration, and inspection
  • Punch list closure and handover documentation

  • Degree with a minimum of 15 years Oil and Gas industry experience, including at least 5 years on major capital projects, (
500 M USD) with Construction Management and Site Management focus * Proven experience on large-scale EPC/EPCM projects, preferably with ADNOC or similar Middle East operator
  • Strong knowledge of:
- API 650 / API 620 tank construction
- Welding procedures and NDT techniques
