Job DescriptionThe Institute of Public Health (IPH) at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS), UAE University, is seeking to appoint a full-time faculty member to contribute to its teaching, research, and consultancy activities in Biostatistics. We are looking to appoint a suitable candidate with training, experience, and achievements in Biostatistics. The successful candidate will assist in teaching biostatistics to undergraduate medical students and graduate students at CMHS. The candidate should be expected to conduct advanced statistical research, contribute to the supervision of PhD students, and participate in curriculum development and academic program enhancement. The appointee is anticipated to initiate and be the principal investigator for research projects relevant to the health of communities in the UAE. There are good opportunities for collaboration with colleagues in the CMHS and other UAEU colleges, in addition to local and regional institutions. Particular importance is attached to developing strong links with educational establishments, health authorities, government agencies, and other institutions in the UAE and the wider region. International collaboration is encouraged. The successful candidate will also share administrative work in the IPH and CMHS, including serving on committees, coordinating the courses, invigilating examinations, and contributing to student assessments.Minimum QualificationApplicants should possess a PhD degree in Biostatistics or equivalent.
