Job Description:This is a high-profile role that requires commercial and technical gravitas, and the leadership skills and credibility, to grow an integrated risk consulting practice, and to lead complex, multi-disciplined risk consulting projects and in doing so assist Control Risks in significantly growing the business.In partnership with regional CSC partners and Geo-Market partner, this role will lead bid, win, deliver, and project manage crisis and security risk consulting engagements across MENA (less KSA). The focus of the role will be on both business development and delivering and managing complex client consulting tasks from scoping through project initiation, delivery, and conclusion specifically:The delivery of top line growth and project profitability in line with budget expectations and aligned with the regional CSC strategy.Requirements:Role tasks and responsibilitiesPractice Management & Project Delivery
  • Provide strong and effective leadership and management of the CSC practice.
  • Working with Partner CSC EMEA and MENA, and the SMT, develop and implement a business strategy and plan that supports regional and global business objectives.
  • Accountability to CSC Operations and Consulting partners as required for leading the delivery of the full range of CSC engagements across MENA (less KSA) from bid to close out, ensuring profitability and quality standards are met.
  • Demonstrating technical expertise in the management and delivery of complex client engagements.

Business Development and Account Management
  • Working with M&P colleagues and the Geo-Market Partner, assisting with growth of the business through focus on our key markets and targets, account management and business development activities. Manage key accounts as required.
  • Building and expanding on an existing strong personal network of relationships with potential work providers and the key influencers within target corporates.
  • Proactively driving the integration of CSC services with other Control Risks service lines.
  • Continuously seeking to build Control Risks' presence in the marketplace.
  • Increasing visibility and credibility for the practice through driving repeat engagements with existing clients, new engagements with prospective clients or referrals from other Control Risks service lines.
  • Innovating and identifying new routes to market or new services that can be provided to clients.
  • Displaying an ability to take experience from engagements and consider whether the approach or issues are replicable with other clients. Building a plan to target those clients.
Brand and Reputation
  • To be the external, expert face of Control Risks CSC across MENA.
  • Position Control risks with our clients to ensure we are the first port of call for external legal, insurance and corporate communications providers as an essential component of any response to a disruptive event, whatever its source.
  • Proactively build and maintain solid relationships with decision makers and/or senior managers across the entire regional business, seeking out opportunities for collaboration.
Practice Development
  • Working with regional practice heads, ensure regional service delivery standards are implemented and maintained.
  • Recruit, lead, manage, train and develop the consulting resource pool to build a high performing team.
  • As part of the CSC EMEA leadership team, contribute to the development of the regional strategy and plans.
  • Undertake fee earning engagements.
Role requirements:Essential
  • At least 10 years commercial experience in a top tier consulting firm with a focus on Risk Consulting.
  • A passionate advocate for the discipline of risk management.
  • Deep understanding of the MENA operating environment.
  • Commercially astute with a proven track record of building a book of business and managing a P&L.
  • An accomplished consultant with expert client relationship management skills.
  • The gravitas and personal credibility to build effective relationships at board level.
  • Highly developed communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Essential
  • Education to degree level.
  • Additional vocational or professional qualifications in the risk management sphere.
Preferred
  • Master's degree.
  • Security/Risk consulting qualification preferred.
