- Develop and implement category strategies for MEP systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, ELV, and specialist systems
- Establish preferred supplier frameworks, rate contracts, and long-term agreements
- Drive standardization, value engineering, and lifecycle cost optimization initiatives
- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost drivers within the MEP category
- Oversee end-to-end procurement for major MEP packages across multiple projects
- Lead RFQs and RFPs, conduct technical and commercial evaluations, and manage high-value negotiations
- Finalize vendor selection, contracts, payment terms, warranties, and service-level agreements
- Ensure procurement activities align with project timelines, budgets, and cash flow plans
- Partner with MEP engineers, project managers, design consultants, quantity surveyors, and finance teams
- Manage relationships with key suppliers, OEMs, subcontractors, and system integrators
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery, quality, and compliance metrics
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance frameworks, and audit requirements
- Lead, mentor, and develop procurement engineers and category team members
- Prepare procurement dashboards, reports, and strategic updates for senior management
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- 12-18 years of experience in MEP procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing
- Proven experience managing high-value MEP packages for large-scale construction projects
- Strong exposure to UAE or GCC MEP markets and vendor ecosystems
- Deep expertise in MEP systems, specifications, and procurement best practices
- Strong commercial acumen with proven contract negotiation and cost management skills
- Experience in category strategy development and supplier consolidation
- Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capabilities
- Analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimization, risk mitigation, and value creation
