- Identify and analyse potential new clients & business development opportunities to drive Abu Dhabi Biobank revenue targets as per current capabilities along with future plans to increase customer base and penetration of use cases for continued revenue inflow/recurring billing.
- Ensure that sales, marketing and communication initiatives are aligned to the overall growth strategy.
- Execute the BD activities for new services including planning client visits, follow ups, forecasting and reporting status updates on the CRM.
- Give inputs to the marketing team to work in synergy to meet assigned the revenue targets.
- Achieve assigned sales revenue, margin and target in the assigned sector/territory.
- Drive the private sector growth in the UAE and wider region for Biobank services
- Closely monitor market trends and competitor activities in the Biobank/Cord Blood Bank services and propose counter actions to the Top Management.
- Manage the sales process including, but not limited to, lead generation and management, sales pitch, proposal development as well as negotiation and closure of agreements.
- Undertake bid management activities, including development of business proposals to secure new contracts, responses to RFPs and other related documentation.
- Lead all aspects of the sales process including opportunity identification, opportunity assessment, pursuits, pre-proposal, and proposal development & submission.
- Report effectively on key bid activities, proposal submissions, sales activities, revenue pipeline, risks and commercial opportunities to senior management in a timely manner.
- Review and assess the potential to develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholders including, but not limited to, IVF clinics, hospitals, medical and/or pharmaceutical departments of universities and pharmaceutical companies to facilitate R&D activity.
- Support the expansion and growth of Abu Dhabi Biobank by fostering continued business development with existing clients and developing new customer relationships.
- Manage key customers and accounts and monitor their performance to address critical issues
- A BSc degree and/or Masters (preferably in Life Sciences or in Genetics), a PhD may be advantageous but isn't required for the role.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a life science and/or pharmaceutical sales industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate. Fluency in Arabic is desired but not essential.
- You will be an excellent team player and able to build positive relationships with others.
- You have a positive approach with a can-do mindset and are able to use your initiative as well as exercise good judgement and tact.
