Material Engineer Highways Bridges Quality Assurance Concrete Asphalt Dubai UAE is responsible for overseeing material approvals, conducting inspections, and ensuring all construction materials meet project specifications and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.Key Responsibilities
  • Review and approve contractor material submissions and method statements
  • Conduct on-site inspections to monitor construction activities and material usage
  • Perform factory visits and supplier inspections to verify production quality
  • Witness laboratory testing and coordinate approvals with relevant authorities
  • Analyze test reports and ensure compliance with specifications
  • Monitor delivery and usage of materials to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Conduct audits to verify conformity with contract requirements
  • Maintain detailed records of material testing and project documentation
  • Issue non-conformance reports and recommend corrective actions
  • Prepare technical reports and updates for project stakeholders
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance and control standards
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 12 years of experience as a Material Engineer in infrastructure projects
  • Strong experience in highways and bridges projects
  • Advanced knowledge of concrete and asphalt mix designs
  • Expertise in material testing procedures and QA-QC standards
  • Familiarity with CAD tools and engineering software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities
  • Experience working in Middle East infrastructure projects preferred
  • Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills
