
Senior Electrical Engineer

- Develop and deliver electrical designs for projects involving:
- Medium and low voltage networks (11kV, 33kV, LV distribution boards, switchgear, MCCs).
- Building services systems (power, lighting, fire alarm, earthing, controls).
- Support concept design, detailed design, tender documentation, and construction support activities.
- Electrical drawings – Single line diagrams, protection diagrams, lighting layouts, cable tray layouts, earthing layouts, schematics, load schedules, cable sizing, and system calculations.
- Carry out design reviews, risk assessments, and ensure adherence to relevant international and local standards (e.g. BS, IEC, DEWA, ADDC, OES, SEC).
- Liaise with utilities for grid connection requirements and coordinate with mechanical, civil, and architectural teams.
- Participate in site surveys, commissioning reviews, shop drawings, construction support and technical troubleshooting as needed.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and contribute to proposals or project bids.
- Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team.
- Grid interface, authority approvals and utility application processes.
- Renewables integration, hybrid systems, BESS, or microgrids.
- Familiarity with power design software (ETAP, Dialux/Relux, Ecodial).
- Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM coordination.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- 8 years or more of post-bachelor experience across electrical design and/or engineering consultancy.
- Solid grounding in both infrastructure and building services design environments.
- Strong understanding of regulatory standards and authority approval processes in the GCC (especially UAE).
- Effective communicator with good report writing and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Technically strong and delivery-focused, with a proactive attitude to problem solving.
- Able to balance technical detail with project-level priorities.
- Adaptable to working across sectors, including utilities, buildings, and infrastructure.
- Collaborative and approachable, with an interest in mentoring others and developing best practice.
