Job DescriptionEnsure that activities are performing as per Service Level Agreement between business and Clearing, Salary & Remittances Units in GBO.Ensure that back office is provided quality services to bank customers.Develop operation procedures impacting Clearing, Salary & Remittances Units in GBO.Ensure all staff are managed, trained & developed their skills.Manage day-to-day operations and approve / authorize transactions of the assigned team in case their manager absence, within the delegated authorities, with the aim to maximize the productivity while ensuring efficient and high quality service to customers.Provide advisory and consultant services to business units related to Clearing, Salary & Remittances Ops.To take corrective measures for the audit observations in liaison with the team leaders for risk & control by developing and implementing a Zero repeat findings culture within the assigned unit.Review with Clearing, Salary & Remittances Units Mangers of pending items report for effective control over day to day transaction.Monitor morale and constantly motivate unit staff to ensure that optimum level of productivity and service standards are achieved by them.To ensure that training schedule for the entire department are prepared in consultation with the team leaders for identified training requirements for each staff in the teams.To prepare back up’s for all critical positions in the department in order to manage any contingencies as & when required.Delivery of all special projects and assignments assigned by the Head of General Banking Operations to be made within the agreed time line and costs.Competencies/SkillsTechnical Competencies:Banking Products, Services and Operations KnowledgeBudgeting and PlanningCheque ProcessingFraud Awareness and DetectionInward Remittance and Transaction ProcessingOperational Risk AwarenessOutward Remittance and Transaction ProcessingProcess Review and ImprovementRegulatory and Compliance KnowledgeSharia Principles of Islamic FinanceBehavioral Competencies:Act with OwnershipEmpower to DecideEngage the CustomerShare Knowledge & Work as OneMaintain Transparency & CommunicationLeadership Competencies:Navigate & Lead The WayDevelop Talent and Engage People
