- You will be customer's point of contact regarding the Certification of fixed and stationary storage tanks, pipes, motors and generators, and heating and cooling equipment etc. ensuring that they are produced and certified compliance with the relevant Safety Standards.
- You will provide general information on policies and procedures UL services along with promoting and explaining the benefits of new and existing services; Discuss procedures, test methods, test results, samples selection and variations in devices as necessary to resolve problems.
- You will identify and determine client needs, analyze client input, data and product construction; discuss technical issues and explain ULs procedures and requirements.
- You will determine project scope and specifications such as cost, duration time, sample requirements, deadlines and completion date.
- You will establish appropriate test programs in collaboration with our Laboratory Technicians by reviewing manufacturers' information and keeping clients updated on any issues or concerns that might impact or change the project scope or specifications.
- You will prepare data sheets and coordinate all the laboratory test activities ensuring completion according to schedules; review outcomes and sign-off records when required.
- As a Project Engineer you should be adaptable to changing situations, take an analytical approach to your work and ideally be experienced with the IEC/EN 60079 series of standards or design/development of hazardous locations equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, with minimum 5+ years of related experience.
- Relevant working experience in testing / certification, technical service or related fields.
- Prior experience in product certification (IEC/EN 60079 series standards), or design/development of hazardous locations equipment.
- Experience in audits at manufactures end.
- Detailed knowledge of the technical vocabulary common to the appropriate discipline.
- Good command of spoken and written English (knowledge of technical concepts is an additional advantage).
- Able to build rapport and communicate effectively with clients and UL colleagues.
- Able to travel to clients' sites (35% of the time) and manage own schedules.
- Outstanding project management, record and time keeping skills.

- Ability to explain technical aspects to customers.
- Proficiency in Arabic language will be additionally preferred.
