Quantity Surveyor - Infrastructure

- Prepare and analyze cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment
- Conduct on-site measurements and quantity take-offs to verify project progress and costs
- Manage change control processes, including additional works notifications and purchase orders
- Assist in the preparation and submission of subcontractor payment certificates
- Collaborate with the finance team on internal and external forecasting and accruals
- Maintain a database of accredited subcontractors and oversee the procurement strategy
- Manage green claim income, liaising with legal representatives and loss adjusters when necessary
- Ensure compliance with statutory legislation and internal policies related to commercial processes
- Prepare detailed reports on project costs, variances, and financial performance
- Support the Commercial Manager in achieving commercially driven objectives and monitoring key performance indicators
- Promote continuous improvement within the organization and implement effective corrective and preventive measures
- Advise colleagues from other departments on commercial issues relevant to their work
- Evaluate and control key suppliers and subcontractors to ensure project efficiency
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar capacity
- Minimum of HND in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or equivalent
- MRICS, MCInstCES status or equivalent is highly desirable
- PRINCE2 Accreditation is a plus
- Proven experience in Civil Engineering and Infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of main forms of contract, sub-contracts, and procurement options
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, CCS)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Experience in implementing commercial management functions, processes, and procedures
- Familiarity with risk management processes and bidding procedures
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
