Education & Qualifications:
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 5 to 10 years of experience crane/lifting/heavy equipment Mechanical Design Engineer and Project Engineer in the UAE
  • Proficient in using tools for equipment selection, sizing, and engineering calculations
Description
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of engineering projects, ensuring they meet both client specifications and industry standards.Role & Responsibilities:
  • Planning & Work Preparation
  • Work closely with Sales team to review the project and other specifications.
  • Plan and execute the order, considering post-calculations, customer specs, and resource needs.
  • Determine purchase parts, prepare RFQs, and provide technical details to Div 3 in FOCUS9.
  • Plan project execution, identify required materials and work.
  • Define cutting, joining methods, and tooling requirements.
  • Document key checks and tests in a Test Plan using standard checklists.
  • Prepare specific test procedures and ensure proper project handover per milestone schedule.
  • Quality Control Department
  • Oversees quality control of client deliveries, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Approves and releases project parts from the workshop after inspections and documentation checks.
  • Prepares a list of required corrections and clears parts for transport.
  • Conducts site inspections, organizes toolbox meetings, and manages waste processing.
  • Delivery Department
  • Ensures the testing and inspection of the installation before the final delivery to the client, possibly proposes corrective measures to the Assembly department and ensures that these measures are realized according to specification.
  • Engineering/Drawing Office
  • Responsible for preparing a finalized design that is easy to transport and assemble.
  • In special cases, tender drawings with standard calculations are created during the tender phase to meet key client requests.
  • The basic design includes strength and deflection calculations, along with considerations for reliability, durability, maintenance, and safety.
  • Critical dimensions must be verified before purchasing or production.
  • Based on this, an approval drawing is created and sent to the client.
  • Once the client and Sales approve in writing, detailed drawings are made according to the product plan.
  • The internal drawing office checklist is completed before release to Work Planning.
  • General, arrangement, and composition drawings must be signed before production.
  • Major design changes are documented in revised detailed drawings, marked with yellow stickers and highlighted, while outdated drawings are removed.
  • Approved design changes made by authorized personnel are updated by the Drawing office.
  • Any other jobs can be assigned from time to time as and when management considers
