The Mechanic Petrol and Diesel will be responsible for assessing vehicle and equipment condition, carrying out repairs and maintenance, and ensuring fleet readiness. The role requires attention to detail, basic diagnostic capability, and adherence to safety and maintenance schedules.Key Responsibilities
- Assess vehicles and machinery to accurately diagnose mechanical and system issues
- Meet with internal stakeholders to understand reported faults and service requirements
- Assemble and repair mechanical components according to specifications
- Prepare repair estimates or work scopes when requested
- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify functionality problems
- Follow scheduled maintenance tasks and perform upgrades as required
- Maintain accurate work logs, repair records, and maintenance documentation
- Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate ordering of required components
- Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure safe and proper use
- Adhere strictly to company safety policies and workshop procedures
- Minimum qualification of S S C, trade certificate, or vocational training
- Entry-level experience or strong technical foundation in petrol and diesel mechanics
- Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems
- Strong attention to detail with problem-solving ability
- Working knowledge of English for basic communication and documentation
