- Summary
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees, coordinates with Library Director, and/or performs complex integrated activities of a specialized library service or area; plans, organizes, and implements the provision of services.
- Reviews, evaluates, analyzes and makes recommendations for service improvements and implementation.
- Creates or participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Implements and maintains service quality and productivity standards.
- Responsible for project management in specialized library service or area; develops and establishes deadlines, goals, objectives, workflow, and operational procedures.
- Monitors and oversees daily operations.
- Responsible for complex problem solving by working with other library departments, vendors and other entities outside the library.
- May maintain records, equipment inventories, compliance activities, and collection usage statistics
- May provide training, instruction, liaison services and/or consultation to customers, including students, staff, or faculty in the use of specialized services
- May oversee building security and facilities management.
- May hire, supervise and train lower level staff, student employees, volunteers, and/or interns, as appropriate.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- General Conditions:
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English language, spoken and written.
- Good command of Computer use, particularly MS office programs.
- Strong communication skills, courteous and people friendly personality.
- 2 -5 years related experience,
