  • Provide comprehensive specialist ophthalmology care with emphasis on anterior segment conditions
  • Diagnose and manage cataracts, corneal disorders, anterior uveitis, and related eye diseases
  • Perform anterior segment surgical procedures including cataract extraction, intraocular lens implantation, corneal transplantation, and pterygium excision
  • Conduct outpatient and emergency ophthalmology consultations with full pre- and post-operative management
  • Interpret diagnostic investigations such as corneal topography and anterior segment OCT
  • Prescribe medications, corrective lenses, and contact lenses as required
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Counsel patients regarding treatment plans, surgical options, and preventive eye care
  • Participate in clinical audits, CME activities, and continuous quality improvement programs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams and referring physicians to ensure continuity of care
Ideal Profile
  • DHA licensed Specialist in Ophthalmology with subspecialty expertise in anterior segment surgery
  • Minimum 5 years of specialist-level experience post qualification with strong surgical case exposure
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills and patient-centered approach
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage
  • Certification in Basic and Advanced Life Support
  • Research publications and academic involvement are considered advantageous
