- Post accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank transactions, and journals for property SPVs and the holding company.
- Maintain the fixed-asset register and run monthly depreciation.
- Reconcile all bank, client, and control accounts each month.
- Close the ledgers and produce property-level and consolidated P&L, balance sheet, and cash-flow statements.
- Prepare management reports with variance explanations for senior management and investors.
- Monitor daily cash positions and update short-term cash-flow forecasts.
- Arrange supplier payments, loan drawdowns/repayments, and interest calculations.
- Track lender covenants and upcoming funding requirements.
- Coordinate annual budgets with the asset-management and property-management teams.
- Maintain a rolling 12-month forecast and highlight funding gaps or cost overruns.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, service-charge reconciliations, and corporation-tax information packs.
- Support the year-end audit, providing schedules and responding to auditor queries.
- Act as the finance point of contact for lenders, auditors, property managers, and internal departments.
- Provide ad-hoc financial data and analysis when required.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Part-qualified or newly qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA (or equivalent). (preferred)
- 3-5 years' accounting experience, ideally in real estate, property management, or audit.
- Strong Excel skills; experience with property software is an advantage.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proactive problem-solver with a hands-on approach.
