The job holder will primarily be responsible for (i) end to end independently draft, review, negotiate and finalize legal contracts (ii) provide legal support to business (iii) provide legal advisory across Sukoon Insurance group of companies
Job Requirements
- Legal Contract Management:
- Manage end to end contract lifecycle
- Independently Draft, Review, Negotiate, finalize executable legal contracts with third parties Communicating with business to understand their requirements
- Drafting contracts/legal documents as per business requirements
- Preparing, maintaining, updating standard contract templates
- Following up with stakeholders to obtain their business feedback
- Amending and updating contracts to meet business requirements
- Negotiating with third parties
- Interact with Senior Management to highlight legal risks if any.
- Provide legal advice on contract related queries
- Provide legal support on contract disputes
- Be primary point of contact on behalf of legal department for all contract related matters
- Legal Documentation:
- Prepare and/or review legal documentation as required,
- Prepare and/or review insurance policy wordings, customer documentations, press releases as may be necessary to ensure compliance to laws/ regulations and to protect company’s legal rights,
- Be the primary point of contact on behalf of legal department for legal review of all documentations.
- Be custodian of all contracts
- Prepare reports and MIS as required
- Legal Advisory and Legal Support:
- Provide legal advice to business o Independently manage legal projects
- Assess and highlight key legal risks to Management
- Conduct research and analysis on legal principles, facts, and precedents to legal issues.
- Actively contribute towards formulating appropriate case based legal strategy
- Co-ordinate with external law firms as required
- Undertake legal administrative and legal support work as may be required
- Manage and co-ordinate Legal projects as may be required
Skills Required : • Bilingual [Proficient in written and spoken Arabic and English] • Knowledge of UAE laws and regulations • Awareness of DIFC laws and regulations • Awareness of Data Protection laws and regulations • Awareness of applicable financial laws and regulations • Excellent Contract Drafting and Negotiation skills • Analytical ability • Attention to detail • Self-driven and result oriented • Knowledge of Microsoft Office • Problem solving and decision-making capabilities Education and Experience : • Graduate degree from any recognized university. • Legal qualification. • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in drafting and negotiating legal contracts • Awareness of UAE Central Bank - Insurance Regulations will be plus
