We are looking to hire a (Senior) Governmental Affairs Senior Manager for the MEA region.This position will apply their experience and expertise to work closely with the Market Access and Commercial Teams on the ground to:
  • Implement the company's Government Affairs strategy across MEA,
  • Identify and liaise with key stakeholders from government, civil society, and patient organizations,
  • Provide the commercial leadership with relevant intelligence and strategic advice on (health) political developments in the cluster.
This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Government Affairs EMEA and will work in close collaboration with multiple internal partners and stakeholders, including, but not limited to, the global and regional Government Affairs and Market Access teams, regional Marketing teams, Sales/Commercial leadership, and Medical Affairs.At DNA Recruitment, we carefully review all applications and aim to contact every suitable candidate within max. 5 working days.   • serve as an interface between governmental bodies/organizations and the company,
  • plan and execute public affairs and stakeholder outreach activities,
  • advise the leadership on political developments of strategic importance,
  • develop health policy drafts and lead the development of Memorandums of Understanding,
  • manage consultants (where appropriate).
Governmental Affairs Senior Manager – Job Requirements:
  • Experience in managing Government/Public Affairs projects in the Middle East/Africa region and/or in selected markets there.
  • Min. 7 years of experience in Government/Public Affairs, either in-house or through consulting.
  • Fluent Arabic and English (verbal and written), other regional languages would be advantageous.
  • Master's degree in either of the following (or equivalent): Public Administration, Public Policy, Economics, Law, Politics, International Relations, Public Health.
  • An outstanding communicator, as partially complex communication and negotiation will be required with both internal and external stakeholders .
  • An innovative thinker who can leverage their expertise and experience in the region by informing strategy.
  • An inclusive team player who is well-versed in collaborating with various teams and departments.
