The nonprofit school for children with special needs, providing educational and therapeutic services. The Center seeks a dynamic Manager to oversee its day-do-day operations. She or He will report to the Board of Directors.SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Strategy
- Together with Board, develop annual operating, business and fundraising plans for review & approval by board.
- Monitor development in field of special needs, and seek ways to improve effective and cost-effectiveness; apprise board of any developments relevant to field of special needs in UAE.
- Oversee day-to-day operations; supervise staff and ensure policies are followed; assume primary responsibility for safety of students and staff.
- Responsible for financial management compliance with all internal policies and Federal and Abu Dhabi Emirate laws and regulations.
- Implement fundraising strategy; develop proposals; develop and run campaigns together with board; regularly meet corporate and other sponsors and actively recruit new donors.
- Develop media strategy, manage press and online presence; represent to press and media; develop and maintain crisis communications plan.
- Oversee hiring, evaluation, promotion and termination of staff; oversee consultants.
- Ensure records are maintained, including financial, student, health, personnel and others; ensure database is current.
- Prepare annual, quarterly and other reports, as requested by board or as required by donors.
- Other duties as assigned, consonant with overseeing education-related programmes.

- Professional credentials in field related to special needs; demonstrated personal and professional commitment to field; demonstrated comfort with special needs children and their families.
- At least 10 years experience in special needs facilities, with at least 5 in senior management role.
- Management experience includes supervision of teams, evaluation of staff, management of budgets, program oversight and evaluation.
- Demonstrated fundraising experience and success.
- Fluency in English and strong conversational Arabic.
