🧠 Role SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Consultant in Emergency Medicine with proven Head of Department (HOD) leadership experience to join a leading healthcare institution in Dubai. The role combines advanced clinical expertise in emergency medicine with strategic leadership, departmental management, and a commitment to delivering world‑class patient care.🔍 Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Emergency Medicine Department, ensuring high standards of clinical care and operational efficiency.
  • Provide expert diagnosis and management of acute medical and surgical emergencies across all age groups.
  • Supervise and perform advanced emergency procedures including airway management, trauma resuscitation, cardiac emergencies, and critical care stabilization.
  • Develop and implement departmental policies, protocols, and evidence‑based practices.
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and performance management of medical and nursing teams.
  • Mentor, train, and support junior doctors, residents, and allied health professionals.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership and multidisciplinary teams to optimize emergency care pathways.
  • Lead departmental audits, CME activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Represent the department in hospital committees and external professional forums.
🎓 Qualifications & Requirements
  • Medical degree with specialization in Emergency Medicine.
  • Board certification or equivalent in Emergency Medicine.
  • Minimum 10–15 years post‑specialization experience, including proven HOD or senior leadership role.
  • Eligibility for licensing with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in trauma, resuscitation, and critical emergency procedures.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic or other languages an advantage.
