The Lead Counselor position at Atlantis Resorts Dubai is responsible for leading children's recreational activities, mentoring counselors, supporting inductions, and ensuring the highest safety, hygiene, and service standards across the Explorers Club and resort-wide family experiences.Key Responsibilities
- Interact with children and adults to deliver a fun, safe, and engaging environment
- Act as a role model and mentor to counselors and support new joiner induction
- Lead and supervise specialist activities including cooking classes, STEM activities, sports, team building, and themed events
- Maintain strong knowledge of children's activities and facilities across the entire resort
- Ensure compliance with emergency procedures, hygiene standards, and pediatric first aid protocols
- Handle incidents and emergencies calmly and professionally
- Respond to guest feedback and concerns with confidence and diplomacy
- Actively enhance guest engagement and perception of children's programs
- Minimum 2 years experience leading large groups of children
- Outgoing personality with a passion for engaging children in activities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle guest interactions professionally
- Childcare qualification required
- Qualifications in sports, leisure, or recreation are an advantage
- Ability to work confidently in a dynamic, guest-focused environment
