This position is critical in ensuring the long-term reliability of static equipment and piping systems by applying risk-based inspection methodologies and corrosion management strategies. It supports operational excellence by reducing failure risks and improving maintenance efficiency across ADNOC facilities.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct risk-based inspection assessments to optimize inspection intervals and maintain mechanical integrity
- Perform Fitness For Service evaluations and remaining life calculations for equipment reliability
- Develop inspection plans based on RBI studies and historical performance data
- Coordinate inspection activities for static equipment, piping, and pressure systems
- Analyze corrosion data and implement mitigation strategies to reduce degradation
- Support development and execution of corrosion monitoring and control programs
- Review engineering drawings and ensure compliance with international codes and standards
- Participate in hazard identification and risk assessment studies
- Provide technical support for projects including RBI implementation and corrosion loop classification
- Troubleshoot inspection and corrosion issues and recommend corrective actions
- Monitor implementation of inspection recommendations across operational sites
- Contribute to Corrosion and Inspection Management System improvements
- Support contractor selection and supervise inspection service delivery
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or related Engineering discipline
- Minimum 10 years of experience in inspection, corrosion, and RBI engineering
- Strong expertise in NDT techniques and inspection planning
- Experience in oil and gas plant operations and asset integrity programs
- Knowledge of international standards such as API, ASME, and related codes
- Strong analytical, organizational, and technical reporting skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate cross-functional teams
