- Develop and execute public policy strategies aligned with Talabat's regional business priorities and operational goals.
- Influence policy discussions related to platform regulation, pricing structures, consumer protection, labour models, digital regulation, and sustainability frameworks.
- Represent Talabat in government consultations, regulatory working groups, and industry associations.
- Monitor regulatory developments and political risks across GCC and MENA markets.
- Advise senior leadership on regulatory changes, policy implications, and potential impact on business performance and market operations.
- Provide strategic guidance during regulatory challenges, crisis response situations, and policy escalations.
- Collaborate with internal teams including legal, communications, finance, operations, and strategy to ensure consistent policy positioning.
- Build long term relationships with government officials, regulators, and key public policy stakeholders.
- Serve as the internal centre of excellence for government relations standards and regulatory best practices.
- Guide regional teams on compliant government engagement strategies and policy communication.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in public policy, government affairs, regulatory strategy, or public sector leadership roles.
- Proven experience influencing regulatory outcomes in GCC or broader MENA markets.
- Strong experience engaging with ministers, regulators, and senior government officials.
- Background in regulated industries such as technology platforms, telecommunications, mobility services, energy, or financial services.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and their impact on digital platform business models.
- Ability to assess regulatory risk and translate policy developments into business strategy insights.
- Executive level communication skills with strong stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Experience working with multinational or regional organizations.
- Fluency in English and Arabic with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
